We have wrapped up recruitment for the 2025 Yukon Healthy Living Survey! Thank you so much to everyone who participated in this year’s survey.
Over the summer we have gathered more than 700 responses with over 35% from communities outside of Whitehorse. This includes over 100 respondents from Dawson City! Having this many respondents from rural Yukon is amazing because it gives us a better picture of the communities that RPAY serves.
To achieve this our team has been busy doing recruitment all across the territory! Over the summer we have attended many events and gatherings including:
- Canada Day, Dawson City Music Festival, and Discovery Days (Dawson City)
- Association of Yukon Communities Annual General Meeting and the HJ Community Farmers Market (Haines Junction)
- First Nation of Na-Cho Nyäk Dun Gathering of the People Health Conference (Mayo)
- RPAY Event (Old Crow)
- Ross River Annual Career Fair (Ross River)
- Arts in the Park Market (Watson Lake)
- Recreation Expo and the Fireweed Market (Whitehorse)

Thank you so much to all the people and organizations who supported us in coordinating to attend these events.
Now that the survey has closed, it is time for us to begin doing data analysis. We will be meeting with the advisory group for guidance on how to analyze the data in a way that will be meaningful and useful for communities. We will be looking at the ways that Yukoners said they like to be active, and what motivators and barriers affect Yukoners’ levels of physical activity in different communities across the territory.
After data analysis we will being to produce reports and infographics to share the information. If you are interested in receiving a copy of the final report, please email YHLS@yukonu.ca. We will also share our analysis in upcoming YSPOR newsletters.
